Default My .ppsx files aren't launching as slideshows

Is there a switch somewhere that I haven't flipped? I am doing a Save As PowerPoint Show so that the presentation launches in view mode only. The files are .ppsx files, which are supposed to launch as slideshows.

I'm linking to these files from online help, which I create in Adobe Robohelp. When you click the link to the .ppsx file PowerPoint lauches (I don't know what happens for people who don't have PowerPoint), and the files display in editable form.

I have no idea what to do. Saving as a PowerPoint Show is all I know about saving a file as a slideshow and it isn't working. Does anyone have any advice?
