Searching PowerPoint slides in PDF format

Good morning,

Looks like with Office 2007, PDF slides are captured as a graphic image, not text, and I can no longer search them. Surely I am overlooking something! My question -- how can I search Office 2007 PowerPoint slides saved in PDF format?
