Default problem with animations

Hi,

When I insert any animated clipart into my PowerPoint, it stops animating. What do I do?

Thanks,

Alison

Are you checking in SHOW mode Alison. They won't animate in edit mode.

Thanks, John. Yes, I'm in slide show mode.

Since the usual "copy" didn't work, I tried using "save as" to put them into "My pictures", and they animated in there. However, I don't get "copy" in the menu that comes up, so I have no way to put them into the PowerPoint.

Cheers,

Alison

If you have downloaded from the net(?) by Right click > save As then try

INSERT (menu) >> Picture > From File

Navigate to the gif and Ok
Start the show.

Thanks so much John. Unfortunately, that didn't work either. The image just sits there.

Cheers,

Alison

Hi again John,

Here's one: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/im...00303387|mt:3|

Mostly I take my animations from that online clipart site provided by MicroSoft. I've never had problems before with it.

Thanks so much for your time!

Cheers,

Alison

Hi John,

Yes, that one works! Thanks so much!

I suppose the fact that you can take it successfully off the Microsoft site and I can't suggests that the problem is a glitch in my computer. Am I right?

Cheers,

Alsion
