Exclamation Problem - Outlooked marked all emails as read

Hi,

I have a big problem. I have a quite-large Inbox, which had lots of unread emails that needed follow-up / revisiting. I generally use the fact that the email remains unread as a way to know that it needs follow up (in many cases the follow-up action is just to read the email, in fact).

Unfortunately I just had a bad thing happen. I was in a scenario where I had spotty network access (WiFi), bouncing up and down. All of the sudden *all* of the emails in my Inbox were marked as read!

Is there any way to go back and identify the ones that were marked as read? I tried using various filters, e.g. trying to find emails with a certain "edit time" value, but that field I think is blank on most emails. I'm not certain though - is there any way to see the "edit time" value on a given email?

Does anyone have any idea how I might be able to recover from this problem?

Thanks in advance.
