Default Outlook Won't Remember My Password (Credentials)

Every time I open my Outlook file (connected to an exchange server), it asks me for my password and will not remember it. I check the box "Remember my credentials", then next time I go into it, it asks again. Does anybody have a solution to this?

Thanks.

In Outlook you have the option of saving your password to prevent having to log in each time you launch Outlook. When you
choose to save your password in Outlook by placing the check mark next to “save password” Outlook simply adds an entry to
the Windows Credential Manager or Stored Usernames and Passwords manager. If you wish to remove the saved password or
if the save password option did not work when selected in Outlook please complete the following steps:

1. Close Outlook
2. Open Credential Manager or Stored Usernames and Passwords
In Windows 7, Choose Start > Control Panel > Credential Manager.
In Windows XP, Choose Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Your Windows Username > Manage my network passwords.
3. Remove all saved entries referencing your mail Credentials.
4. Restart Outlook and enter your credentials, choosing to either save or not to save your password.

Saigasmith,

Thanks for your help, however that did not work. I deleted all entries in the Windows Credentials Manager, opened up Outlook again, entered password and told it to store the password.

The creditials were added back to the Credential Manager, however it still continues to ask for it. Not sure if it has anything to do with it, however I do have a second Profile in Outlook that is a POP3 account and is not password protected. Thus Outlook first asks me what Profile I want to open.

Thanks.
