outlook 2007 crashes/freezes when deleting

In February my 4 month old laptop Windows 7 office 2007 64 bit computer kept freezing in outlook when I was deleting, moving around. In the end I had to take back to factory settings.


Reinstalled and put on Avast instead of AVG. Worked until a month ago.

Same thing happened. Uninstalled antivirus, took back to earlier restore point. In the end downloaded updates and also service packs and the problem cleared. Put back on Avast and the same thing happened. Looked on the web and others have had same problem so tried to disable addins, looked at pst files, restored back to another restore point and finally got it going by restoring back quite a few months.

Installed MSE and have had the same problem. I restored back to an earlier point again after ensuring that all antivirus has been removed.

Please can someone tell me why this keeps happening. I know some techy people but they can't figure it out either!!
