Default "To:" field autofill question

I should start by saying I'm using Outlook 07.

When creating a new message in Outlook after you start typing letters in the To: field it will auto populate frequent contacts. This list has become quite large over the years and there a few names I do not want to appear anymore. Is there a way to delete these? I know in Outlook 10 there is an "x" next to the name to remove them from auto populating but this is not the case in 07.

Any ideas?

For Outlook 2010

1. Within Outlook, click on the File menu.
2. Click on Options.
3. Click on Mail on the left.
4. Scroll down to the Send Messages section.
5. Click on the Empty Auto-Complete List button.
6. A box will appear asking if you're sure you want to clear the Auto-Complete List. Click Yes.

For Outlook 2003 and 2007

Windows Vista and Windows 7

If you can already see hidden files and folders...

1. Close Outlook.
2. Open My Computer.
3. Browse to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outl ook
4. Make sure to view the file details.
5. Delete any file that ends with “.NK2”.
6. Restart Outlook and the new NK2 file will automatically rebuild.
That's it!

If you cannot see hidden files and folders...

1. Click the round Windows Start logo in the bottom left corner
2. Select Control Panel
3. Click Organize
4. Click Folder and Search Options
5. Click the View tab
6. Check Show hidden files and folders
7. Click Apply then OK

Windows XP

If you cannot see hidden files and folders...

By default you will not be able to see the below directories unless you make a couple of adjustments.
1. To view hidden folders, open My Computer
2. Tools > Folder Options
3. Click the View Tab
4. Select “Show hidden files and folders”.
5. Then UNCHECK the box that says “Hide extensions for known file types”
6. Click “Apply to ALL Folders” button hit OK. (proceed to the steps in the previous section)

Hi,
Try this:
  1. Start typing the name or email address in the "To" field.
  2. Use your arrow to move down to the one you want to delete.
  3. Hit the Delete key on your keyboard.
Hope that helps!

Kara
