Default Outlook 2010 problem

Hi

I have Windows 7 OS and Outlook 2010 64-bit. By the way, how would I find out what version of Outlook I have. We used to have 'about Outlook 2010' feature; now I don't know where this is.

Anyway, back to the problem: Whenever I click on a hyperlink provided in an email, I get the following error message:

General failure. The URL Was:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx An error occurred in sending the command to the application.

How can I solve this problem? I do have the latest fixes for Outlook.

Hi,

To find out what version of Outlook you have try this:
  1. Click on the File tab in the upper left-hand corner of your screen.
  2. Click on "Help" on the left-hand side of the menu that pops up.
  3. You should see all the information about your Outlook version on the right-hand side.
Hope that helps!

Kara
