My daughter keeps wa-a-y too much stuff in her personal folders, so her only .pst file is 1.5GB and growing. Since Carbonite uploads a file any time it gets changed, her uploading is overloaded, so to speak. She has three separate inboxes, so her "real" inbox stays empty, thanks to an account specification. Only one of these inboxes has the volume problem.
I propose to do the following to reduce the amount of uploading. Please give me your opinion on it, so that I can avoid a big mistake if I'm heading for one: Establish separate new computer folders for archived messages, called Files A-E, Files F-J, ... Files U-Z. It's not statistically balanced, but it's okay for a start. It's not cast in concrete. I'll transfer all of her archived messages into the appropriate folders. Establish a separate computer folder to contain the inboxes and transfer the current messages appropriately. I should be able to keep the rest of the stuff (sent, deleted, junk ...) in the main .pst file, and try to convince her that these should be trimmed regularly. The hardest part will be getting her to minimize the inbox volume by:
