Default Viewing public calendars

Hello,

There is a shared Outlook calendar on my office's network (we're using 2007), located in “Public Folders”. However, I don’t want to have to dig into the “Public Folders” directory every time I want to view this calendar – I’d rather have it appear as an option when I go into the “Calendars” section of Outlook.

However, when I go into “Calendars”, the only calendars Outlook will display are my personal ones – I don’t see any option for viewing public calendars there. When I click on "Open a shared calendar" and then type the name of the public calendar I want, Outlook finds nothing.

What can I do about this?

Thanks.

Unfortunately you cannot view it there. If the calendar is in a Public Folder, you will have to view it in that folder. The "Open a shared calendar" option is when someone gives you access to their calendar, this is where you access it.
