Default Outlook 03 crashes when opening calendar

I have a user on a laptop running XP 32bit with Office 2003.

Just recently this issue popped up. When he tries to click on his calendar in outlook it crashes on him and puts the "Send to error report" message up and then automatically re-launches outlook.

A little background: he has X1 installed and he has a locally stored PST loaded.

Here's what I've tried so far.

Going to webmail and opening the calendar works fine. (Exchange 2007 SP2 btw)

Creating a new mail profile and not connecting the PST does not solve the problem.

Lastly, it does work fine when setting up his email on a separate machine (without X1 or his PST loaded).

What I'm thinking of trying next: Disabling X1 to see if this is causing the problem. Running the detect and repair option. Running M$ updates. Lastly, I've read some threads on re-naming the frmcache.dat file to see if creating a new one solves the problem.

Anything else anyone can suggest or do you think I should try these in different order?

Thanks for any input in advance.
