Question OST not available

Hello all,

Thank you in advance for any help!

MS Outlook does not connect with my other programs. I cannot send emails from other programs. This is on a Corporate computer with Windows7 x64. My HelpDesk is in India and not terribly helpful.

The Calendar Printing Assistant gives the message below.
Quote:
Cannot connect to Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. Please restart MS Outlook 2007 and Calendar Printing Assistance. Original MS Outlook 2007 error message: Object reference not set to an instance of the object.
Excel, Adobe, and other apps give the error below, but the path to the ost is correct and I have restarted my computer MANY times.
Quote:
The file D:\.....\outlook.ost is in use and cannot be accessed. Close any application that is using the file, and then try again. You might need to restart your computer.
This is what I have tried to date:
  1. Complete uninstall and reinstall of all MS Office products. This included using RegCleaner and a manual review of the registry for Office related entries. I've done this twice, once also using Revo Uninstaller Pro.
  2. Created a new profile from Mail Setup, located under the Control Panel.
  3. Turned off the offline Folder File options, various versions of the settings for this feature, and later re enabled it.
  4. Tried all the outlook start-up switches.
  5. Deleted the OST and let outlook recreate it from scratch.
