new e-mails do not use default account
I am a long-time Outlook user, now using 2010 with Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit.
I have two e-mail accounts set up and send and receive through both with no problem. One is set up as the default of course, but it is not the one that Outlook selects by default when I want to send a new message. How do I correct that? |

Outlook 2010 lacks a true default account when there are multiple accounts delivered to different pst files in the profile. Outlook uses the account assigned to the pst the folder is in for new messages, not the default account assigned in Account Settings.
See the following for a workaround: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...t-account.html |

Thank you. I have implemented the macro suggested in your link and moved it to the far left on the ribbon so that, every time I want to send a message, I have the option of using my preferred account drawm to my attention. Very handy, but what a pity Outlook does not provide that option at this late staqe of its development. Holy smoke!
