Hi,
I'm using Outlook as an email client connected to webmail IMAP server (not exchange).
This question relates to using multiple email accounts in the Outlook client.
I know Outlook 2010 (or on Mac, 2011) has capability to change the From field manually to any email address for which there is an account.
However, is there a way to set this up automatically such that the email comes in from one account and replying/forwarding/composing email messages from that same email account has the From and Reply-to fields both referring to another (different) account (both From and Reply-to fields contain the same email account, but that account is different from the incoming email account address)?
For example, email account1 has address
name1@company1.com, and email account2 has address
name2@company2.com. When I reply/forward/compose an email message on account1, and then send it, I want the recipient of that email to see in the header that "From:
name2@company2.com" and "Reply-to:
name2@company2.com" (e.g. there must be no mention of account1 information). Of course, I own both accounts.
The goal is to set the account(s) up this way once, and then I don't need to manually choose a From field with each email message I send it (as it's prefilled automatically according to the above).
I'm not familiar with Outlook. Does Outlook have the granularity to achieve this? Any advice whether this is possible or not? I very detailed step-by-step would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any comments.
