I have recently started to use Outlook 2010. I have 'sync'ed it with my current hotmail.co.uk account. Although Outlook imported out my hotmail contacts, when i attempt to edit them using Outlook, the address book immediately syncs with the hotmail account and overrides any edits i make. Surely there is a way for Outlook to override the previous version of the contacts stored by hotmail?
Thanks in advance |

Hi,
Log in to your Hotmail account, go to preferences and you will see two, where it says in effect do not allow another program to make changes, otherwise add it to a pop account, and the second selection says allow another program to make changes. Select the second option, click save and log out. Give it about 30 min or so and then Outlook should become your client for the Hotmail account. Hope this helps. |

Hi,
Log in to Hotmail. On right hand side is Options, select, then select 'More options'. Select... POP and deleting downloaded messages and chose the 2nd option. Hope this helps. |
