Outlook 2010, Office 2007, compatibility issues?
I've got some users on our network that are trying to use wordart, of all things, in their emails to each other. However, when they click on the Insert tab, and move to Wordart, it's greyed out. We've narrowed it down to being an issue with users having Office 2007 installed on machines, while using Outlook 2010 for their email. Because the Outlook is newer, it's looking for Office 2010 to supply it's Wordart file calls, but Office 2007 has them in a different location, I suppose? Not a huge deal, just wondering why Outlook 2010 doesn't recognize the Office 2007 installation more thoroughly. There is no error message, just a greyed out icon for Wordart, and Textbox, for that matter, on the Insert tab. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. < first post :3 > |

A late answer. Word 2010 completely redesigned WordArt and Outlook may be looking for that. You can still create the WordArt in Word 2007 and paste it into Outlook.
