I’d posed may have this query on this forum previously, however the suggestion I was offered hasn’t resolved my issue. In Outlook, I have 2-Hotmail accounts; on my non-default account I receive email alerts/notification when new mail arrives. Hence, the email alerts/notification doesn’t work with my other account. Both Hotmail accounts are MAPI. After following the advice to download & install Outlook SP1 I’m still faced with the same dilemma. I would like to know, do others have multiply accounts on Outlook & receive new email alerts/notifications on more than one email account? I even tried unchecking & rechecking ALL of the new email options. Any other ideas/suggestions would greatly be appreciated!

You can create a rule to emulate the desktop alerts, I actually like this better as you can set custom alerts.

create a new rule
- Condition ==> "On this Computer Only"
- Action ==> "Display Alert" + "Play Sound"
- Exceptions ==> "None" (I mean none checked)
- Finalize ==> "Activiate this rule"
- END

I'm sorry, I don't know where to go or how to create this New Rule. In Outlook, in the Rules and Alerts window, when I click on New Rule tab I can't figure out how/where to type in this new rule. Could you possibly be more specific, Plese?

Thanks
