I recently had problems with my Windows Vista Home Premium while upgrading it to Windows 7 that ultimately led to me needing to have my entire hard drive replaced. Fortunately, I did have a portable back-up drive which I moved my personal files to the new drive from.
I recently installed Office onto the new hard drive. And as I did so, I wondered if the e-mails and folder system that were archived in the old installation of Office could be fished out of my back-up drive and placed into the new installation. Said drive does contain a copy of both the C and D drives in their entirety. |

If the .PST files are still intact on the backup dirve you can simply import them into Outlook using the import/export wizard.
See: http://blogs.technet.com/b/office_re...files-pst.aspx |

Thank you. I was able to find the pst files in my backup drive and import them.
