Hi,
I use Outlook 2010 to connect to a NHS Exchange system which requires my logon information every time I use outlook. In Windows 7, I seem to get only one chance to enter my username and password correctly. If I have entered my username and password incorrectly, Windows 7 and Office 2010 seem to retry my password multiple times and locks me out of my Exchange account within seconds. This doesn't seem to happen with Windows XP with Office 2010 or Windows 7 with Office 2007. It must be a new Microsoft feature! Does anyone know how to change this retry mechanism? Thank you in advance, Stephen |

You can modify the username/password saved on Windows 7 from Credential Manager:
1. Goto Control Panel 2. Goto User Accounts and Family Safety 3. Select Credential Manager From there you can review your settings. |

Thank you for the quick reply.
I have no reference in Credential Manager for the Outlook account I am using. The only details contained in there are regarding my messenger live account. Do I need to enter some details? |
