Default Outlook Shared Tasks Problem

Hello, I have a issue with an Outlook shared tasks list. First, I have given "owner" permissions to the users of this shared task list. The problem I have is that the shared users cannot create any new categories within the task list because the New and Rename button are "grey'ed" out and I am not able to click on them.

I have tried creating a new "test" task list, to see if the issue was with that specific task however, I still arrive at the same problem.

I have shared a task list before and given owner permissions to the shared users and not arrived at this problem.

Any solutions?

As a test:

If you give the user "Owner Permissions" to your Calendar, can they create a new "Category" in the Shared Tasks? I think the master category list permission originate from the Calendar permission.

Try it out.

Good Luck!

Sorry I took long to reply to solution, I simply stopped working on this problem for a while. I just recently tried your solution and the buttons aren't greyed out anymore. I'll follow up on you to see if everything went well. And thanks, I really apperciate it.
