i have created .pst as a default and restarted outlook but the emails are not coming to .pst they are going to .ost

i am using exchange email in my outlook.

any suggestion ?

If you are using an Exchange server with Outlook, there is no PST file. It is a OST file instead.

Pop Accounts use PST files.

In an Exchange environment, the emails are in an ost file. You are able to export the emails to a pst file and save the file locally to your pc. But any new emails will go to the ost file.

does IMAP account use pst or IMAP account allows pst as default?

IMAP and POP both use pst as well. ost files are only used in the Exchange environment.

i have .ost but i want .pst as default in my outlook 2010. i can make as default but the problem is after making it default email still coming in .ost and i have to click send & receive to send it to .pst which is really weird coz it should come automatically.
