Outlook 2010 send emails to unintended recipients.
I’m working on an issue where a user sends email to one person within our company and one or two additional people who were not included on the email still end up receiving it. I’m going to check for viruses, maybe delete the user’s HKCU registry settings or rebuild the profile.
Anyone have any idea what’s up? Thanks! Kevin |

Enviroko,
To help troubleshoot the potential causes for this, double check the recipient does not have a forwarding rule or a mailbox forward has been enabled. Also check to see if the other two recipients are not delegates of the original recipient. Hope this helps. |

I came here to post about the same problem.. I've checked the intended recipient's outlook for rules, but there are none setup.. That's as far as my knowledge extends, so if there is other things to check, please let me know.. I have server access in case it is a configuration on the server that needs to be checked.. Also, ill write out the problem:
My coworker is receiving emails sent to other employees.. her email is janedoe@company she receives emails that are meant for johnsmith@company johnsmith also receives the emails meant for him when jane opens the problematic emails, they say to: johnsmith@company janedoe also has the same problems with receiving emails that are meant for frank@company Oddly, both frank and john were laid off for about six months, so there may be a forwarding setup that was never removed when they came back to work that may of been setup by the old IT company.. but i've check both their computers and neither have any rules set in place.. so right now, if i emailed johnsmith@company, he would receive the email, and she would also receive the email.. I assume the problem is with the server options.. |

Figured out my problem.. Went to the johnsmith's user profile on the server and he had "automatic forward" set to janedoe.. So did frank and one other user.. I guess I used johnsmith's account as the base to create frank and the other user's accounts when they came back to work..

Captainevers,
It's possible this is the cause of envioko's users as well. However an update has not been posted. Thank you for your find, Best Regards, |

Sorry for not replying back. One of our company executives was having the issue and it was taken off my hands. I'll see if I can get an answer as to what was found.

I'm told a distribution group was involved.
