Default transfering outlook PST to a new pc, unused storage folder and suggested contacts

I have a client who has installed msoutlook 2010 on their old desktop computer. I think previously they were using outlook 2003 and just went over the top of that install with the 2010 version.

they have 4 seperate email accounts and a large outlook contacts list.

the system they had on the old PC was every one of their email addresses come into one main inbox

now they bought a laptop and put outlook 2010 on that as well - a clean install.

i moved the PST data file onto a external harddrive and then imported it onto the new laptop outlook and everything was fine

except:

1.) the email accounts now have their own email inbox's and the client wants it all coming into one inbox

2.) the original emails are referred to as an "outlook data file" and its much like a "storage folder"; all the emails and folders are there but new emails dont come into it

3.) the "suggested contacts" feature is interfering with the client. they want to be able to press the "address book" and see their whole address book (hundreds of contacts) instead of 2 or 3 contacts. It seems to always default to suggested contacts when the button is pressed.

to complicate matters - the client is continuing to use the laptop and i am concerned that reimporting the old PST file may soon be redundant if they start shifting emails about.

has anybody got an idea on how to proceed with these 3 issues ? the goal is to have all 4 email accounts use the same email inbox, outbox, sent items etc etc (preferably the outlook data file" inbox. The second goal is to have the adress book always default to the whole list when the button (on the toolbar on top) is pressed

thankyou for any input, it is appreciated.

For issues 1 and 2, it sounds like you just need to change the folder where the accounts deliver mail:

1. Click on the File menu.
2. Click on Account Settings > Account Settings.
3. Under the email tab, you'll see a list of the email account. Select one, and then click the Change Folder button below the list.
4. Select the desired destination folder (in this case it would probably be the in the outlook data folder that has the pre-existing mail).
5. Repeat for each email account.

For issue 3:

1. Open the Address Book.
2. Click on the Tools menu.
3. Click Options.
4. In the drop-down "When opening the address book, show this address list first:", select the user's Contacts.

Hope this helps.
