Default 2011 mails only imported

Dear members,

in the account settings I've unselected the function: "Leave messages on server", so outlook 2011 on my mac downloaded all the messages.

but..it only downloaded messages from this year, not the 2010 and earlier messages. When I view my hotmail account via hotmail.com I have no messages at all!

Please help me get my older messages back.

Thnx in advance

Make sure you are using sort by Date Sent instead of Date Received. To do this in Outlook for Mac, right-click or Control-click on the Date Received column header (or any column header) and select Date Sent from the contextual menu.
