Default 2010 Office -- Favorites folder

Cannot seem to find it, cannot seem to create it, cannot find anything in documentation about it,

It was automatically there in earlier versions... Right there at the top of the list of mail folders. Now, I --upgrade -- and it is not there....

What Gives?

Emerogork,

For each folder you wish to show in favorites, simply right click the it and select Show In Favorites.

Hope this helps.

Nope, not So easy there,...

Right Click gives me: Open in New Window, New Folder, Rename Folder, Copy Folder, Move Folder, Delete Folder, Mark All as Read, Clean Up Folder, Delete All, Process Marked Headers, Properties.

Believe me, I have been looking. It looks like MS has decided to drop the idea

Emerogork,

OK i believe the option is disabled.

To enable favorites: Mail TAB, select View from the ribbon, within Layout group, click Navigation Pane, and then click Favorites.

You will then have the option in the right-click window to select any folder for your favorites.

Hope this helps.

Another easy way to do this is to simply drag and drop the folder you want from the pane up to Favorites. ALso, and Search Folders you create you can put in Favorites. I created on for TODAY, YESTERDAY and UNREAD MAIL. A neat feature.

Unfortunately, there simply was no Favorites folder visible. So all these suggestions to "simply drag and drop" were not applicable. As I said, neither did the "help" screens work...

I have the same exact problem. Very frustrating. What is the solution in Word or Excel. "favorites" does not show under navigation pane. None of the other initial solutions outlined below works or I'm able to see. thanks

Spidertech had the solution for me. The favorites folder was disabled somehow.

Tony,

The following solution is for Outlook 2010:

To enable favorites: Mail TAB, select View from the ribbon, within Layout group, click Navigation Pane, and then click Favorites.

You will then have the option in the right-click window to select any folder for your favorites.

Hope this helps.
