Default Sharing "main" calendar - time period issue

Our company shares calendars on internet. When we try to publish the main Outlook calendar, the time period option "Whole calendar" is locked. The longest publishing option available is 90 days.

If I create a new calendar and publish it on internet, the "whole calendar"-option is suddenly available.

Is this normal? Is it anything I can do to activate this option?
