Default Event triggered on creation of new mail

Hi.

Is there any event which is triggered when a user clicks the New button to create a new email.

I would like to intercept and provide the user (me!) with an option to include a common attachment.

All the events I can see seem to be either when an incoming mail is received or on sending an email. I'd rather get the prompt when I create a new mail or hit reply, rather than waiting until I click send - would this involve writing a whole segment of code to actually replace the "New" button?

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Cheers
