Forgive me if this has been asked, but I couldn’t find an answer in a search of this forum.
I used to get a prompt when opening or deleting emails that said something on the order of “XXX has asked for a receipt when this message was opened. Do you wish to send this?”. I then had the option of sending the receipt or not. That message no longer appears and I’d like to know how to get it back. I’m running Outlook 2007 on Windows Vista. Thanks! |

See below to change your read receipt preferences to "ask me before sending a response"
Go to Tools->Options->Select Preferences Tab. Here you can find a button named EMAIL Options. In the Email Option window, select Tracking Options, and select "ask me before sending a response" |

That was easier than I thought it would be.
Thanks! |
