Outlook 2007 sending 5 emails when I only sent 1!!!!!

Hi All, maybe this is a virus issue or something, but it seems like more often than not whenever I send an email, I look at my outgoing status message in the lower right hand corner of the screen and it says sending message 6 of 6, when I only sent out 1 email??

Is this a virus sending out 5 other emails? I have Norton Antivirus and it is supposed to be checking all incoming and outgoing emails.

When I look in my outbox it only shows the 1 message in the outbox that I was trying to send.

Please let me know your thoughts on this problem..

Have you actually sent out the email successfully? Maybe there are 5 other emails in your Outbox folder.

This will happen mainly for two reason. Your anti-virus is scaning your e-mails to long or you have a e-mail on your server that is making this happen. It's usely cause of a e-mail that is on your server that is doing this, in that case you would just delete the mail of the server.
Or your outlook profile is not working right. Creating a new profile and importing you pst will fix it.
