Default Inbox emails are gone


While working on my emails in the Inbox of Outlook all my messages disappered. I cannot figure out how to get them back. I can recieve new ones but they disapper after I look at them.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

It may have been auto-archived:

1. Open Outlook.
2. Click Tools.
3. Options.
4. Click on Other.
5. AutoArchive.

This is where you will have to check how often you have this set-up. To locate the files you will need to click on Browse > then search for where these folder are placed.

An old thread but a timeless question.
A likely reason is a filter set to view unread items.
