Sharing Outlook Calendars
We have two computers in our office and they are networked (somewhat) by just the use of a router. Although my boss' son, who set it up, said we were supposed to be able to share files, all I've been able to do so far is bring a file up on the screen (from his My Documents folder), but it's read only and I have to rename it in order to work on it.
Along with that I have an Outlook calendar that I use to track all appointments/reminders (it is a law office). When I finish adding things on my calendar, I have to remember to add the same items on his calendar, which is frustrating and too much extra work. I have not been able to find a way to easily share these calendars, and now he's going to buy a Blackberry and will want to download the calendar to it so he knows what his schedule is if he's in court and they have to plan another hearing. Is it possible to share the calendars without a lot of work to set it up. I'm sure not a novice but I know next to nothing about networking and file sharing. Thanks. |

He needs to add you as a delegate to his Mailbox.
Adding a Delegate 1. Open Outlook. 2. Click on Tools. 3. Options. 4. Delegates. 5. Click on Add 6. Select the permissions that you would like to grant the other user. I hope this helps. happily using The Message Center Exchange Hosting |
