G'day all,

I had a bit of a look around and I can't find a real solution to what I want to do (but apologies if this qualifies as a double-post!).



We use Office 2007 connected to Microsoft Exchange.

Basically, as part of our work's service package, we have to enter the following calendar entries once a week;

- Two weeks from the current date, on the nearest friday, add an appointment with a reminder to send a thankyou pack
- Four weeks from the current date, on the nearest friday, add an appointment with a reminder to perform a followup call
- Six months from the current date, on the nearest friday, add an appointment with a reminder to perform a free service call
- Twelve months from the current date, on the nearest friday, add an appointment with a reminder to perform a free service call and send a 1 year anniversary card
- 2 years from the current date, on the nearest friday, add an appointment with a reminder to send a 2 year anniversary card
- 3 years from the current date, on the nearest friday, add an appointment with a reminder to send a 3 year anniversary card

This is all pretty intensive work to do manually, and so frequently. As far as I can tell, the Office Scheduling Assistant does not have this sort of functionality. As such I'm trying to find a way to streamline the process.

All entries must contain the same information, such as client name, reference number and contact/address details. Text from the first appointment can be copied to all subsequent calendar entries (so for now we've been simply copying and pasting). No images or other files are attached to ANY of these entries.

To add more complexity; if an appointment falls on the same day as another appointment, we'd like to update the existing appointment with the extra text (while keeping the old entries), rather than create an additional appointment.

I have heard of macros and have limited experience with them. I also believe custom forms can be created that do this (or at least simplify the task), but I haven't been exposed to that sort of coding yet! If we have to continue as we have been doing, that's fine, but I'd thought I'd see what you lovely people thought. Screenshots of example data/layout/appointments can be uploaded.

Any help or ideas on the subject would be mega-appreciated. Cheers!
