Windows XP + Office '03
I've run into this problem before and do not remember how I resolved it. The Word doc is formatted just fine when opened through Word. Attach the same file to an Outlook email and then open the doc and it's as if the text was magnified 5 times and at the top center of each page is some sort of Word added text and page. I seem to remember that this is due not to the doc itself but the setting of Word (or Outlook) on whichever computer opens the document. Thus, although the doc opens in a screwy manner on our computer, same may not be the case on the recipient's machine. I ended up saving the doc as a pdf and sending it that way to be certain. Although that was a far better alternative, it still wasn't identical. The pagination changed somewhat. Questions: 1. How do I set our computer to view a Word attachment just as Word would normally view the document? 2. Is there a way to tell the 'save as pdf' to hold all formatting and not alter same. Thanks, Mark |
