how to change default browser for Outlook hyperlinks

I have reset my default browser as Google Chrome through the Windows Add/Remove menu, yet links in Outlook emails continue to be opened in Internet Explorer. How do I ensure that these links are opened in the browser of my choice?

Have you restarted your computer since making that change? Outlook should respect whatever your default system browser is.
