· I have a major problem:
I have a 1 gig pst file that I copied to an external hard drive by doing the following: going directly to the pst folder using data file management in OL 2007, I reformatted my hard drive, reinstalled W7 due to problems I was having with software Now when I try to either import the saved pst file using OL 2007or copy and paste the file directly into the outlook folder under user> local> microsoft office 12> outlook, I get need permission to access folder. I have tried user control setting but nothing is working. I read that I may not have copied the encryption key over when I saved the pst file. It will not let me uncheck the encrypt data under properties. Is there anyway to get this file to open? Also the file is in Green font. Thanx in advance! |

If you reformatted the drive which the .PST files were on it will not open. Check the secutiry tab option on the PST and make sure the exchnage account is added as owner for permissions
