Default How do Outlook and Exchange deal with attachments ?

Hi,
If, for example, I sent an email message with an attachment to 200 people across a WAN link, would the message and attachment be transmitted 200 times, or would it be transmitted once to the other site and then be sent to the 200 recipients? (assuming both sites are using Exchange 2003 mail servers).

I'm asking because it would be nice to know if someone sends a large attachment in Outlook if they can accidentally overwelm a WAN.

Thanks!
