Unable to start the reminder service.

this is the message I get when I try to send/receive in outlook 2003. I have never seen it before and it generates an unknown error number 0x80040119.



Can anyone help me start the reminder service or whatever Outlook means. Thanks in advance.

P.S. I can still read emails As I have a Mailwash program which can read emails before i download.

But I cannot make hide nor hair of it. I follow instructions and it says the file is missing or I might not have the correct version etc.

I will pull my hair out till I get home on the 5th of february.

Hi Shawn,

I have fixed the problem without the hotfix etc.

I went into help and selected detect and repair and ran thru it, then shutdown and rebooted, it then read emails from my server fine without the reminder error.

So thanks for your help and it looks like you can fix this problem (some of the time) without the hotfix.
