Prevent Appointment Item from opening?
Hi Outlookers
I've written an Access database that creates and edits Outlook 2003 appointments for me. I want to be able to prevent users of Outlook from editing the appointment in Outlook and only via the Access database as it causes great confusion. I was wondering if there is a way of doing this using VBA in Outlook? Possibly by detecting the AppointmentItem.Open event and running some code preventing it opening and maybe flash up a message to say " please use the appointments database to edit this appointment". I have no knowledge of using VBA in Outlook and so any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Larry |
