This is a work-related issue. One of my responsibilities is requesting information that comes back from our mainframe. The information is returned from the mainframe, via an e-mail, with the information being in a Microsoft Word file, which is the attachment on the e-mail. I already have a macro in Word that runs after I open up the Word attachment from the e-mail. This macro formats the attachment and saves it to a folder on our server for another department to print.
I have programmed in VB in Excel and Word but Outlook VB is foreign to me. I would like to either: 1) I would like a macro in Outlook that would open up the attachment and then run the macro I have already in Word. Even better yet, if it can be done would be: 2) All the e-mails returned from the mainframe (200+ come back) are in one Outlook folder in my Inbox. If I could hit the macro button in Outlook, and it would automatically go through all the e-mails and run the macro in Word. Is this something that can be done. I would love to do #2 but if that's not possible, #1 would suffice. Your help is greatly appreciated! [/i] |
