Default Outlook 2007 slow when changing boxes

I had to shut down outlook in an emergency shutdown one day. Ever since then it takes 7 seconds to change boxes. If I go to view my junk mail it takes 7 seconds and when I go back to the inbox it is the same. Is there any way to fix this?. Thanks
