Default Outlook .oft template - double-click creates new message but

I've received a message from a co-worker with an .oft attached. When I double-click the .oft icon, a new message is created but the message is blank. There's supposed to be a form in the message where I enter data and then send the message. I'm using Outlook 2003 and I've been told that the .oft was created in a different version of Outlook. Any ideas on what I can do to get this form so I can use it? Thanks for having this forum for me.

I am having the same issue. We were using a Outlook template created on Outlook 2000 but now that we have 2003 it doesn't work automatically. You have to go follow 2 o 3 steps before you can open it. I was told that future was altered or changed with the las Office 2003 update. Anyone knows how to fix it?
