Default sent mail error message

Hi,

I wonder if anyone here can shed any light on an email problem we're having - according to our support firm email there is no problem with mail leaving here - however when we try to send messages to some recipients we get error message "Delivery to the following recipients has been delayed" then maybe the next day "Could not deliver the message in the time limit specified". The recipient never receives anything. Where is the problem?
