Outlook 2003 - auto re-send/re-try question?
I have Outlook 2003 (yeah, I should upgrade but $$$) and yesterday I tried to send someone a message with a 10MB attachment. Outlook kept displaying a "server timed out" message during the send/receive process and would automatically attempt to re-send the message about 10 minutes later. I was watching task manager and saw there was a lot of network upload activity (about 1.8 MB per minute for about 8 minutes at a time, so something was being sent). What actually happened was the message did get through to the reciepiant, 92 times (how embarassing).
So my question ... is there a way to turn off automatic re-send / re-try (either globally or for a particular message) and have it either ask to resend or just not attempt to do it again? Thanks |
