Default Importing CSV files into Oulook

Hello,

I am trying to import a CSV file into the Outlook calendar. The CSV file has the same column names as the Outlook calendar. Outlook will import the file at times and at other times I get an error message that says that a file error has occured when initializing a translator to build a field map. It also says that the fil could not be opened and that I may not have permission. This will only happen at times and at other times the file can be imported just fine. There is nothing different in the files that I can see. Any help with an answer to this would be greatly appreciated!

The above link is the exact steps to load a .CSV into outlook.

I would check the .CSV you are currently attempting to up load and double check it doesn't have any custom fields or if some of the columns have improper values. Even an empty cell above the the column can cause your error.

Please keep us update on what values you are importing ( I.E names address appointments) you maybe also adding in appointments that you are not the owner of or dont have the proper delegate permissions. This will also keep you from loading the .CSV.

Keep us posted
