Default adding account user

Hello, I am new here so hopefully you will bare with me. I am trying to add a new user to my Office 2010 mail account, but after going threw the process of adding it, it does not recognize the name I am trying to input. I have done both auto, and manual installations. I seem to be the only one that can use the account at this point. A couple of suggestions would be great. Thanks for your time.
