Default Reduce file size of pasted images (Outlook new msg)?

Hey all

When pasting screenshots into a new Outlook message, then they always seem to be bitmaps or something, which means they are not reduced in file size.

Is there a way to automatically reduce them all? I have created a new message which Outlook tells me is too big to send, because it has some screenshots in it... in JPG they all together wouldn't be bigger than 1mb, but now they are 11mb!

Thanks for hints
Josh

Yeah, great, I now copy/pasted the whole content of the mail into a Word document, then saved it as HTML file, opened the HTML file in Explorer (it's about 1.3mb including pictures), copy/pasted the whole content of the HTML file back into a new mail message - and voila, the message is 11mb in size again!

Sometimes I just don't get what's happening in the heads of the Microsoft guys when they are developing their software...

Hrm OK, the guys at Apple don't seem to do it much better, too... Opened the HTML file in Safari, copy/pasted to a new Apple Mail message, and sent... But now the images are missing - only embedded links to the image files were pasted.

Holy god...
