Outlook 2024 bug

I downloaded Office 2024, and Outlook seemed to work fine for a few days.


When I start a new email, if I type in text in the body all is fine, but when I enter the first letter of recipient's email address, the ribbon goes grey and I can't select many options such as Font, pitch, Bold, Italics, Underline, Colour, Justify, Indenting... but I can still select Address Book, Attach File, Signature and All Apps.

Worse, if I reply to any email, because their email is already there, I have the same problem. So I have to copy the whole email, put into new email without recipient email address, do all the typing and formatting, then only it is ready to send to I start to type recipient email address.

Also, if related... at same time, I have a larger pitch size of my texts... ie I still have pitch 11 by default, but the actual size is bigger than pitch 11.

These never happened in Outlook 2019.

Any help much appreciated.
