Outlook Restriction? php link suffix
I recently encountered a problem with Outlook2003 that I did not see referenced when I searched the Outlook subforum, so maybe this might be news to a few people ...
I recently discovered that an email I had sent out was not actually getting to the recipients. Everything looked fine, the Outbox emptied and a copy of the email dropped into my Sent Mail folder, but the email did not actually go out. I initially thought it was a problem with my ISP and then that it might be a limit on the number of recipients (ol normally limits that to 100), but the # was 70. There were no error messages of any kind. It took a while but I eventually tracked it down: The email had a link to a web page that had a php suffix. For some reason, the syntax caused Outlook to balk and not actually send the email out without any notification of a problem. As soon as I removed the link, everything was fine. Has anyone encountered this before? |
