Unhappy Lost Password for Outlook Classic

Yesterday through a series of events the password for my Outlook Classic got changed to an unknown value. I use Win11 Home 23H2. My email address is an old charter.net address. I can login to the webmail version on spectrum.net, but can't get into Outlook. Spectrum support sent me to a microsoft webpage to reset my password, but that resets my Microsoft 365 account. I changed it anyway but still can't login to Outlook classic on my laptop. Another MS page said the 3rd party provider must work with me to change the password, but Spectrum, who bought Charter years ago still says I need to work with Microsoft. Does anyone have any words of wisdom?
