Frustration is my middle name, I guess.
Since I've retired, I've been trying to find some means to share the Outlook calendar in Office 2021 Pro now installed on my primary computer, which I thought I might possibly be able to do through Google Calendar (since I now use a Gmail address rather than the company's email system which was on an Exchange server - and which spoiled me rotten with the ease of using this on the other two PCs I own - just duplicate the Exchange setup on both and I was off and running).
But, I thought that if I bought and installed the same Office 2021 Pro software for these two other systems, it might lend itself to doing something similar to the old Exchange setup, where I could access, edit and add calendar events from any of the three PCs, and that this calendar information might then also be propagated through Google Calendar so this data might be fully accessible from any of the PCs - or so I thought it might happen with maybe with a bit of effort. But THAT was a fool's errand, I guess.
So I come here with the question: IS this possible using Google Calendar as the 'shared source point' for my calendar in any of the other computers? Or am I simply fooling myself, yet again? Or maybe asking the wrong question in the wrong way.
Without an Exchange system to use, IS it possible to share my calendar with my other PCs? Since it is just me, no other people "outside my organization" need access and I simply want to see the same data on all three computers.


Gonna ask as stupid(er) question now... Is it possible to access and use the Outlook "ost" file now in use on my primary PC (IMAP setup at Gmail because all three PCs access that Gmail email account using Outlook 2021) and if I understand it properly, the calendar is a part of that .ost file in any of the PCs, so maybe just stash and access the "main" .ost on my 'home' server, and then maybe on a schedule, 'sync' the other two PCs to that data file? BLEAH... I'm just grasping at possibilities, now... Or maybe I'm just over complicating this...
But by this time I'm lost in the woods, anyway.. And did I mention I'm retired? So, I guess I have the time to 'play' with this, I suppose.
